Daniel S. Hurd, D.O.; F.A.O.C.D.
Dr. Daniel Hurd is a board certified Dermatologist and President/CEO of New River Dermatology and New River Aesthetics. He has been in private practice since 1999.
A Marshall University graduate, Dr. Hurd went on to the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine where he graduated with high honors. Dr Hurd completed his internship in Internal Medicine and his Residency in Dermatology at Ohio University.
Dr. Hurd has authored numerous scientific articles, and lectures & trains physicians all over the United States. He is past president of the West Virginia Dermatology Society and is currently the Dermatology Program Director & Discipline Chair for the Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is also an Associate Clinical Professor at the Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Assistant Clinical Professor at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine & Assistant Clinical Professor at the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Barbara Miller, RN, FNP
Barbara is a family nurse practitioner who is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is also a member of the Dermatology Nursing Association. She has been in the medical field since 1980 and specifically in dermatology since 2002. Previously, she worked in rehabilitation medicine and also as an obstetrical nurse manager for a hospital.
She was drawn to medicine because of her passion for helping patients, and she enjoys interacting with new people every day.
Barbara received her nursing degree at the State University of New York at Delhi and her Family Nurse Practitioner degree at Community General Hospital in Syracuse, NY. She is licensed to practice in both Virginia and New York.
Angie Brewster, PA-C
Angie received her physician assistant bachelor of science degree from the Jefferson College of Health Sciences in 2004. She then immediately began a career in dermatology in Bluefield, Virginia, because of her fascination with the many different conditions that can affect the skin.
She is certified by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants, and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
Stefanie Neel, PA-C
Stefanie received her Master of Science in Physician Assistant from Mountain State University. She had a passion for dermatology from a young age and spent her collegiate career preparing for a lifetime in the field. Stefanie scored in the top one percentile of the country on the board exam to certify her with the National Commission on Certification of Physicians Asistants. After her graduation, she immediately began practicing both general and cosmetic dermatology in the two Virginias.
Stefanieis a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
